What changes the price

  1. Weight. Tile, mortar, stone countertops and concrete fill a trailer by weight.
  2. Volume. Cabinets and drywall take up a lot of space.
  3. Loose vs. piled. Debris already piled near the driveway is faster to load than debris spread around a house.
  4. Nails and sharp edges. Expect us to be careful with demo debris, which takes a little longer.
  5. Restricted materials. Asbestos (common in some older flooring and ceiling textures), lead paint chips, wet paint and solvents can't go in a normal load.

Hauler vs. dumpster for remodel debris

A dumpster suits a long project with debris every day. For finished remodels or projects done in stages, piling debris in one spot and booking a haul is often cheaper and keeps a container off the driveway. Read the full comparison: junk removal vs. dumpster rental.

Tips for contractors and DIY remodelers

Old home? Check for asbestos first

Homes built before the 1980s may have asbestos in floor tile, mastic, popcorn ceilings or pipe insulation. It must be tested and removed by a licensed contractor before demolition. We can't haul asbestos-containing material.
